Installation

Step by Step Guide

Process

RigidSeal is installed using a pulling winch to position the grouted liner into place. For shorter runs of smaller liners, it can also be pulled in manually by the field crew.

The Grout is Applied to the Liner By:

  • Pulling it through the RigidSeal grout delivery tank

  • Hand application using trowels

Both application methods are performed on-site during installation.

Key Features of the Installation Process:

  • No heat, or harmful chemicals are introduced into the environment.

  • The liner and host pipe are sprayed with water before towing in the liner to activate the RigidSeal Urethane Grout expansion.

  • Once positioned, 4 to 8 psi air pressure is introduced to inflate and expand the liner, ensuring a tight fit and filling any voids in the host pipe.

  • After curing, the air pressure is released, and the ends are cut to open the newly refurbished, lined pipe.

  • No heat, UV light, or VOCs are required, as the moisture-cured structural grout completes the process.
