The RigidSeal Story
RigidSeal was founded by Clint Llewellyn, a national leader in the grouting industry, after years of frustration with persistent infiltration issues. Time and again, he witnessed lining installations that failed to fully stop infiltration, leading him to search for a more effective solution. He repeatedly asked the same question: Why doesn’t a liner exist that can both grout and stop infiltration and exfiltration at the same time?
After years of searching with no viable solution in sight, Clint decided to develop one himself. His inspiration came from an unlikely source—a plastic pack of gum and a bottle of ketchup. The gum pack’s foil backing, which could be folded into the shape of a pipe, resembled a liner. The grooves between the gum pieces, when filled with ketchup, represented expanding polyurethane grout. This simple concept sparked the idea for a liner system capable of carrying and deploying polyurethane grout simultaneously.
Bringing this vision to life required extensive research, testing, and innovation. The challenge was to find environmentally friendly materials—free of styrene and volatile organic compounds—that could thrive in wet conditions while providing a structural solution for pipe rehabilitation. After years of collaboration with industry experts in plastics and polyurethanes, the RigidSeal One-Step System was born—a groundbreaking solution that seamlessly integrates lining and grouting to stop infiltration once and for all.
The RigidSeal Team
Clint Llewellyn, CEO and Founder
Clint Llewellyn is the founder of RigidSeal and a nationally recognized expert in the grouting and trenchless technology industries. With decades of experience addressing infiltration and exfiltration challenges in pipeline rehabilitation, Clint identified a critical gap in existing lining systems.
Determined to develop a more effective and efficient solution, he led the creation of the RigidSeal One-Step System—an innovative, environmentally responsible technology that integrates grouting and lining into a single process. Under his leadership, RigidSeal has become a trusted name in infrastructure renewal, delivering long-term solutions that meet the industry’s highest standards.

Geoff Yothers, Product Manager
Geoff Yothers has been a dedicated leader in the trenchless technology industry since 1993, with deep expertise in the rehabilitation of sanitary and stormwater pipelines. Over the course of his career, he has served as Product Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Director of a North American network of pipeline installation contractors.
His expertise encompasses all aspects of both Fold-and-Formed and Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) renewal methods, including contractor training, sales and marketing strategy, material supply agreements, and the development of new equipment and processes.
Geoff has also contributed to the advancement of the industry through his service on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Sewer Service Contractors (NASSCO) and as Chair of ASTM Subcommittee F17.67 for Trenchless Plastic Pipeline Technology.

Sid Lockhart, P.E. Senior Project Manager
Sid Lockhart joined the RigidSeal team in 2023 as a Senior Project Manager.
He brings over 35 years of experience in design, planning, permitting, construction, maintenance, operations, and rehabilitation within the water and wastewater industries. His career has included work in directional drilling, geotechnical and soils, dewatering, infiltration, pipe bypass pumping, pipe lining, open cut methods, mechanical systems, H₂S mitigation, and building construction.
Sid has overseen more than $600 million in infrastructure projects, managing both construction and financing. These projects have addressed emergency sinkholes, storm drains, sanitary sewers, culverts, water mains, pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, chilled water systems, co-generation, pollution mitigation, and other critical infrastructure needs.
His previous roles include Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Superintendent, Chief Engineer, and Manager—demonstrating his ability to provide effective, ground-up solutions from concept to turnkey delivery.
